Focus and Scope
Ciencias Veterinarias y Producción Animal is an open-access scientific journal published in electronic format. Its objective is to provide a platform for the dissemination and discussion of original, unpublished research findings related to veterinary science and animal production. Submitted manuscripts may include research articles, review articles, short notes, clinical cases, and case studies. Submissions must not have been published or be under consideration by another journal. Incomplete, preliminary, or insignificant works will not be accepted.
The journal Ciencias Veterinarias y Producción Animal is a semiannual publication (two issues per year: January-June and July-December) in Spanish, edited and funded by the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas through the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics "Dr. Norberto Treviño Zapata." It is aimed at academic staff, researchers, and students from educational and research institutions both nationally and internationally. The submitted manuscripts are anonymously reviewed in a double-blind format by experts in the relevant field.
Ciencias Veterinarias y Producción Animal publishes contributions covering the following fields:
Veterinary Sciences: Surgery, pharmacology and toxicology, parasitology, zoological medicine, animal dentistry, bovine, equine, small ruminants, small species, poultry clinic, one health, aquaculture health, anesthesia, among others.
Animal Production: Genetics, animal nutrition, traceability, reproduction, climate change, grazing systems, economics, ruminant production, monogastric production, productive physiology.
